How Bout Builder works

One connected workflow, from the first practice to the final bout.

Bout Builder ties the entire youth wrestling season together — league setup, team rosters, event planning, bout generation, mat assignments, live public updates, and results — so coaches, event hosts, and families all work from the same current information.

The full event lifecycle

Seven steps from league setup to recorded stats.

Bout Builder replaces the inconsistent, messy, disorganized way that most youth wrestling leagues currently operate. Instead of dozens of teams all doing something different, Bout Builder provides a standardized, efficient workflow that's easy for everybody to use.

Talk with us about your league
  1. Before the season

Set up your league and teams

League admins configure age groups, teams, venues, and schedules, then invite coaches and other admins with role-based access so the right people have the right controls.

  2. Throughout the season

    Coaches maintain a single roster

Each team maintains a single, current roster with wrestler details like name, age, weight, and skill level. No more stale spreadsheets that get passed around by email and end up lost on someone's home computer.

  3. Before each event

    Event admins configure the details

Update the date, venue, and participating teams. Choose your format, Madison-style or bracketed tournament, and fine-tune matchup parameters to create the ideal competition.

  4. As rosters come in

    Collect attendance without the chase

Coaches submit their attending wrestlers directly to the event from their own team's roster. No emailed spreadsheets, no incorrect formats, no begging for files the day before the event. Admins can see exactly who has and hasn't submitted.

  5. At the head table

Generate bouts, brackets, and mat assignments

Auto-generate fair matchups using customized Madison-style criteria, or build seeded tournament brackets. Assign bouts to mats manually or with rules-based automation, print bout sheets, and quickly create handbouts on the fly.

  6. Throughout the venue

    Share live updates with everyone

Launch the live console to manage mat queues and post announcements. A special venue QR code opens a no-login public page so wrestlers, parents, and other spectators can view a live mat board, searchable bouts, rosters, and news.

  7. As bouts finish

    Record results and wrap up

Capture wins, falls, forfeits, disqualifications, and points as the day unfolds, and keep a complete, organized record of the event for everyone involved, including future seeding meetings.

Built for every youth wrestling format

Madison-style, duals competitions, or bracketed tournaments, all handled from the same place.

Madison-style

Pair wrestlers based on actual weight, age, and skill. This format is built for fair, balanced league events.

  • Adjustable weight, age, and skill tolerances
  • Min and max bouts per wrestler
  • Total customization capability

Duals Events

Run traditional weight-class events with configurable limits and sequencing. Line up wrestlers generate bouts per weight class.

  • Custom weight-class limits and order
  • Per-class bout generation
  • Resembles traditional high school wrestling matches

Tournament brackets

Seeded single-elimination, double-elimination, and round-robin brackets with automatic bout generation as brackets advance.

  • Single, double, & round-robin formats
  • Seeded bracket entries
  • Auto-advancing bouts by result

On event day

A live public board keeps the whole venue on the same page.

When the first whistle blows, Bout Builder hands off to Mat Assignments, a live operations console for event staff and a clean, no-login public page for everyone else. One QR code at the door gives wrestlers and their families the information they need.

  • Live mat board showing who's Now Wrestling, On Deck, and In the Hole
  • Searchable bouts, rosters, and wrestlers by name
  • Instant announcements for schedule changes, mat openings, and concessions
  • No login required — shareable via a branded venue QR code
  • Auto-refreshing public pages, so attendees always see the current state
